I checked in 2012 and that time it was approx 7 years time for sponsoring parents for Indian origin.
Because of 3 years NOA condition, I think, backlog is cleared by 60% or more,
Is there any improvement now on processing time for Parents sponsorship or its going to be same 7 to 8 years for...
hope is kindled :)

As in last year's lottery system 90% of slots got wasted, and approx 1000 qualified applications are under process, does anyone have any news / hope if govt is planning to apply fix to the process introduced last year.
:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(
For you you might be playing with words, for people waited for 4 years to apply full application it's hurting....
Govt intend to accept 10000 applications, hope this satisfy your vacablury, but informal fact is 600 applied with required documents.... a fact enough to hurt who are seeking...
Comparison can be done for Apple to Apple and not Apple to oranges ....

There is a difference in previous and current process,
Previous - Interested applicants were submitting applications with FEE and DOCUMENTS.
Current - 95000 showed only interest, NOT asking for FEE and DOCUMENTS before lottery was bad (unjustifiable) for actually interested applicants.
CIC...

10,000 got selected
700 applied
less than 600 seems eligible....
10,000 - 600 = 9,400 spots are still vacant for year 2017
I am one of the person who waited for 4 years to collect 3 years NOA, and was not selected because of lottery didn't select me :(
Even though...

My kid is 8 yrs , we already got citizenship and applied for kid later, so in this case once application is approved, does kid get oath invite or citizenship certificate by post?
I am under impression that passport is scanned for record on border every time, I might be wrong. So if I use US pp to enter US and Canadianfor for Canada, enter exit record of pp would be mismatched..
Is it a concern or my assumption is wrong
One more question please:
Once I get Canadian passport for my kid (who is US citizen by birth) and has USA pp;
Which passport i need to use while going to USA and what can be used while coming back to Canada? Confused.
Which passport should be used to travel for any other country?

Wish to challenge assessment at what cost when we are entitled for another chance at no cost (sure, time is a factor)...
re-assessment ? - seniors might be able to say on this.

It's natural feeling, I have faced same situation. 15 to pass and got 14.

2) re-assessment - I don't know if that's possible or not.
But I got another chance with in three weeks...
* I am not lawyer / expert, and just sharing view as per my experience.
1. You should not worry if there is no issue in already submitted document.
2. I think, even if you call CIC & let them know, they won't be able to intervene at any level - and will do adding of information (as comment)...
Has anyone applied for citizenship for minor recently?
Citizenship application for my kid was received on 25th April, what's average days/weeks to get response from CIC?
