Its routine procedure that certain background checks related to security clearance are carried out after medicals. So dont worry. They will issue MR soon after completing the security clearance. I am waiting for the same as well.

Right brother. CHC is predictively unpredictable. :). We generally expect them to work in a very organized manner, keeping the things straight. But is is evident they even don't have specific SOPs. Each VO is using his/her own way of evaluation and verification.

Considering the trends of CHC, your opinion seems to be correct. I think all those who have managed to get IP date and received updated documents request are reasonably safe.
