Just aecdotal evidence .. New Delhi office has gcms since June and the cases this year are getting processed much faster .. But it could also be coz of new priorities

i think they already went through training around dec 2010 .. it looks like the gcms helps gather info they need for backgroud processing faster.. so maybe there is a reason to believe it will make things go faster.. but still dont know how long it will take to transfer stuff from ciaps to gcms...

big question is how many of our cases get entered into gcms and how many stay in old caips system.. i saw posts saying if the file number for 2nd aor had barcode, it meant ur file was fully entered in caips and ur file would stay in caips.. any idea where is this barcode ? i checked mine and...

in the case of people living in canada, i've heard of them asking for the person to go get themselves fingerprinted. thats what they use to check ur police clearance for canada.. i assume u've sent pcc's for all the other countries they need it for when u sent in ur docs and forms to buffalo...
