Hm, we are considering taking some private medical insurance in Canada for first 3 months. Didn't consider any domestic ones (in Serbia). I will check with friends who are already in Canada which insurance they took but I think it's some Canadian company.

UPS doesn't do the return of passports, check with other couriers, I think someone wrote Fedex accepts to do both way. If you are sending from Belgrade you can use IOM service, they charge around 5900 din. per passport (I suppose other offices also offer this service but I'm not sure).

Deadline is 30 days to pay RPRF and send passports.

RPRF and PPR usually come couple days after 3rd line appears :)

No, people from visa exempt countries just get COPR documents (Confirmation of Permanent Residency), you need those to enter Canada.

Congrats to all for MRs, third lines and everything else :) @ whenwillthisbedone, RPRF & PPR come (together) after you do medical check and they check your results... if you don't have any additional medical documentation (or condition that needs additional tests) usually you get RPRF about 2-3...

We have friends there (they are the ones who supported us to apply), and our qualifications (and interests) match best there so it was the most logical choice for our application. Of course, we will need to adjust to job market and be patient with finding position to match qualifications, but...

ghostrideryu, congrats :) strangersr, we got 4. line updated day after passports returned home. ECAS isn't much of a help for anything, maybe just for 3. line 'medicals received', all other updates appear only after you get notified. Anyone goes to Vancouver?
