we have now been in waiting over a year! We applied in August 2011. My husband is Ecuadorian. Hopefully our wait is soon over, as they have requested the passport. I guess now, we just have to see what happens next!

We are still waiting. Applied august 18, 2011. We were requested to send a new medical exam, birth certificate, criminal record check and passport. Documents were sent off 2 weeks ago. Haven't heard anything new from the embassy, but have our fingers crossed that this process is soon over.

We had ours done before sending in the application, but were requested to send a new one recently. We were also requested a birth certificate, new medical exam and the passport. These items were all sent together about 2 weeks ago. Have not heard anything yet from the embassy.

Update: New medical exam was done on Aug 3 in Guayaquil, the doctor said it takes up to 3 weeks for the embassy in Colombia to get the results. My husband finally obtained his birth certificate, and submitted it with the other requested documents: new police record check, copy 2 of medical exam...

I have read a few posts regarding how to order CAIPS notes on our immigration file, however the links lead to a page which no longer exists on the CIC website. I am just wondering if anybody has updated info on how to go about ordering CAIPS notes.
