you are allowed to re-apply for ETA again tho, the agents said you are allowed to do so although they cannot guarantee the success rate. are there more information regarding why you can't do that? in my opinion maybe it could reach to an deciding officer quicker inspite of thee long queue

please let me know how it goes at the border, I might considering doing the same thing. however there are chances of passport being flagged which they will see on the computing system at the border; same as the ones IRCC uses. is your purpose just to visit?

Thank you for the response. What explanation did you give to explain the mistake on failing to disclose the previous refusal? I am in a similar situation, and my study permit is approve but not my ETA. I have been waiting a month after sending in my explanation.
