Same boat as yours. Its even harder to understand when you hear some people's visas (family friend of mine) are issued within 8 months of applying.. I mean when they say that applications are done on a first come first basis (like my MP says) then why isn't this rule followed..*sigh

I would get the MP's help with it and fix the date.

Exactly! You should keep questioning your MP like what is this about? How does it make sense that if the file is ready for visa issuance but they're not issuing the visa?! Have u tried contacting the embassy itself?
