Are funds necessary when already residing in Canada?

Hi everyone, I'm about to send my application through the FSW, my question is, I've been in Vancouver for 2,5 years now, working 1,5 years in a low-skilled job but financially stable (great credit, rent and so on), but I'm far from the $12k they require for 1 applicant. The fact I live in...

Has any Tim Hortons employee here had their application through the PNP not started because of the break up in the Tim Hortons Cold Stone partnership? Bridging Visa or Implied status after PNP application??

Sorry for taking so long to reply. I would first get the new work permit and then send your PR application to CIC. Once your application gets to CIC the first thing they're gonna check i think is your status in Canada, and if you're out of status they won't even process your application and God...

Bridging Visa or Implied status after PNP application??

Hey Lyle. The BC PNP office should be able to provide you a supporting letter so you can apply for a new work permit with it. This 'bridging work permit' can be valid from 1-2 years (entirely to the discretion of the officer). When you're on a implied status (especially with an expired work...

    work permit, during visitor visa

As a visitor you may look for a job but you can only apply for a work permit at an office outside Canada. If you have the job offer letter, LMO and a valid visa to enter Canada you may even flagpole and get a work permit on the spot at a port of entry.

    Do I get implied status?

Thanks for the reply PMM. Yes, I have the TRP as when I flagpoled to get a work permit (suggested by the first officer when I arrived at the border) coming back to re-enter Canada another officer said I shouldn't have done it as I didn't have a visa to enter Canada, so she issued me the TRP.
