    Decision made too quickly???

Give it about a month. Our sponsorrship was approved on October 1 and London started processing on November 5. Try this site to see timelines for other people: http://www.trackitt.com/canada-immigration-trackers/family-class Select London in the Visa Office list, and Spouses in the Family...

london / spousal visa / passport request / can i drop off my wife's passport?

Yeah, that post was mine. I don't think they asked me for any ID when I dropped it off, or verified in any way that I was the PR applicant. But I guess since I was handing in photos etc, they may have said something if the photo obviously wasn't of me. They may have actually looked at my...

    Good Enough??

All we provided for proof was a letter from my wife's parents stating that we would be staying with them when we moved to Canada, and also my wife had some email conversations with a couple of potential employers in Canada who she sent her resume to. That was enough for us to get approved.

London / Decision Made / What Happens Next? / Can I take PP to CHC?

Yes, you can hand your passport in in-person on Thursday between 2pm-3pm, and then collect it again 2 weeks later at the same time. They'll explain all that on the PPR letter. Good luck...hope it's a favourable decision.

    Visa office Berlin

Try this link: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/international/05-fc-spouses.asp This is the link for family class spousal applications. As you can see, London is processing applications in 2-7 months. Mine took 6 months, and from the cases shown on Trackitt, that was a longer...

I agree, London seems to be very quick at the moment.

Medical for spouse for outside canada applications

The police certificate must be no more than 3 months old when the application is received. How long it lasts after that, I'm not sure. I've read in some cases they've asked for them to be redone if the application has taken a long time to process.

    AOR

Yes, it's the visa office processing your application that sends out the AOR, and not every visa office sends them out. You will get a letter from Mississauga first though with the decision on the sponsorship portion. For example, the sponsorship letter will hopefully say that the sponsorship...

Congrats to you too. Were you at the London visa office? Maybe we were standing next to each other in line.

    Medical Received - > PPR - > Visa Receipt

I went down the to London visa office this afternoon and handed in my passport. They gave me a receipt and told me to return in 2 weeks with the receipt to collect the passport with the visa. I'm glad I was able to do this instead of having to post it and wait after reading cases like yours...

When you send a document back like a marriage certificate how long???????

Ah, I see. Well that's where the MP helped us again. To give some specifics, the MP's office found out they would look at our case again on the 22nd of April (a Wednesday), and were just waiting on the background check to finalise the application. The MP's office then passed this on to us and...

Applying to sponsor husband to come to Canada while undergoing British Citiz?

I had to do something similar for my sister back home in Australia and get a copy of a document certified. Being in London, I couldn't just go to an Australian police station or something similar where they can certify it. So I went down to the Australian High Commission in London and they...

applying for permanent residence from the united states

Well firstly, you don't apply for sponsorship and PR separately. You send in both parts of the application together. The first thing you'll need to decide on is whether to apply inland or outland. Outland (apply from outside of Canada), will process faster, but you'll still be looking at...

    Visa office Berlin

Take a look at Trackitt if you haven't already (http://www.trackitt.com/). People put up their timelines there, and you can filter by the type of visa and the office that's processing the application.

When you send a document back like a marriage certificate how long???????

Are you asking how long it took for the MP to make the enquiry for us? If so, they did it almost immediately. My wife rang her MP's office just over a week ago and they gave her the number of the lady in the MP's office who handles immigration inquiries. My wife rang and spoke to her and gave...

When you send a document back like a marriage certificate how long???????

You can try contacting your (or your wife's) MP's office in Canada and ask them to find out for you. London were processing our application for 6 months without contacting us, so we got the MP's office to look into it for us. They made some phone calls the same day we asked them, and found out...

    Medical re-done... how long?

It's an interesting question. When I did mine in London, the DMP emailed me a few days later with a mail tracking ID so I could see that it was sent to the London visa office. But it didn't show up on e-Cas until 4 months later (1 month after they started processing my file). I'm not sure if...

Brought forward date: Is it always set to 90 days later each time?

To be honest, if you're still in the early stages, you won't really learn much. There appears to be a 5-6 week backlog in sending them as well (I'm not sure if that means any activity in the next 5-6 weeks will be included in the report when it finally comes or not). But look, at the end of...
