Is the check for payment to Canada or as you proof of funds? If its for payment I think you still can have the money order coming from USPS or from any bank paid to Canadian embassy. Regarding the photos, better be with colar and white background without expression to be safe...

what u mean by got caught? can u plz give more detail if u dont mine? coz i m planning to apply/send application this week for FSW/38 List. 'got caught' means I hold my application because of the new rule '38-list', until I gathered all the necessary docs.

It doesnt matter you can pay in CND (Canadian Dollar- if you have) or your currency as long the current conversion is equivalent to Immigration fee. But to on the safe side better be in CND or USD. Goodluck!
