There you, I have the similar situation, I had a very long list of document which needed notary... I would suggest, send two sets of photocopies and originals to your close friend or relative back in Mumbai and same day for few hundred rupees your job will be done :)

I would say expensive... but if you have lesser number of papers for notary then I would go for it... and I am guessing you got a reliable agent !

K2 - I just got it done from Mumbai, much faster and easier to get the notary. I had been to Indian Embassy in Dubai and notary is a long processing requires various attestations from different ministries (some ministries back in india) depending upon your degrees and certificates. so a wise...

Excellent... That is a good news then because I have got my passport copies notarised....

I am going to get a date of birth certificate issued by Indian Consulate based on the passport... Not sure if it works for CIC !!!
