Date of Birth Certificates

Hello Guys,

I do not have date of birth certificate for myself and my wife. I am wondering is it really required for CIC? I am sending my full application soon.

Hi,
You need to submit all the documents mentioned in the check list. Birth certificate is an important document for CIC.

Submit 10th class certificate along with an Affidavit. If you do not have DOB mentioned on your and your wife's certificate the get a certificate from the issuing authority.

No problem.... you can make an affidavit in the court and submit the same at Death and Birth Registration office in your district and they will issue new Birth certificate....
Its important to submit with your application....we know our DOB is on our Passport/10th/voting ID....still submit it...

HOW TO PROVE THE DATE OF BIRTH IF WE DON'T HAVE BIRTH CERTIFICATE.....

GOVERNMENT PROCESS TAKES LONG TIME TO GET BIRTH CERTIFICATE...

ANY OTHER OPTIONS ARE THERE TO PROVE DATE OF BIRTH...

Hi,

One of our member submitted this as a proof of "DOB" , It is accepted by the CIO.

#Birth Certificate Proof
# Notarized Copy of Birth Certificate

OR

# Notarized Copy of 10th Class Certificate
# Notarized Copy of Passport Bio-Data

Hi, Copy of birth certificate is the requirement. But unfortunately several Indian citizens don't have a properly registered birth certificate. Therefore any other available proof of birth as School certificate, solemn affidavit etc are also submitted in place of BC and CIC accepts.
