    Photos! And stuff...

The short answer: yes, yes, yes, yes and yes :) the Long answer: try not to make anything too fancy with the photos, just one or two images per sheet with the captions, don't crop them in funny ways etc... I scanned piles of wedding cards and stuff as well as proof of our relationship.

    DECEMBER 2014 - OUTLAND Applicants

Like Mazleen says, it can be tricky to get a visitor visa while in the process of an outland application. We did not have an issue because my partner is a student abroad so he has to go back for his studies, there is no way that he can stay here and that is very clear because of his UK student...

    DECEMBER 2014 - OUTLAND Applicants

I called the In Canada CIC call centre number: 1888 242 2100. Just follow the instructions and you'll eventually get a human. I received a notice of delivery from Canada Post the other day and I was worried it was our AOR. Canada Post couldn't find any evidence of a letter, so I called CIC and...

Well it looks my Husband filled out the older form. *Sigh*

    Photo copies of photos ?

Haha I had a similar revelation when none of my UK documents fit into my Canadian folders. We really should just accept that the A01/A02/A03/ A04 paper sizes make way more sense than the American/Imperial page sizes (Letter/Legal Tabloid, like WTH?)

    new IMM008 form - feb 2015

Hi! Just in case they ask for the Identical Feb IMM 008, I filled it out, so my husband just has to sign it when he visits next week. (He and his computer almost divorced over the Adobe reader forms). Anyways the only difference was in the old form you could request which visa office you wanted...

2015 JANUARY - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICATION

I just filled in the form in case they ask so I can just send it onwards. The only thing that seems to have changed is I cannot fill in the requested Visa Office on this form. Worked fine on the old one *grumble grumble*

    DECEMBER 2014 - OUTLAND Applicants

Lucky Duck! I called today and Mine was received Dec 2nd.... Still no AOR, though the CIC dude did have my application on his computer, so I guess that's a good sign. I hope we don't ahve to fill in the new IMM008, I am seriously sick of filling out forms. Blerg

    Photo copies of photos ?

Hahah totally fair! My Hubs is living in the UK so all his documents were printed on A04, and I didn't want the application to be both in 8.5x11 and A04, so I managed to get some of that size here in Canada (Yes, I AM just that koo-koo!). Staples does not carry A04 ;D

    GOT MARRIED.....APPLICATION AND FORMS

It is my understanding that for a married sponsorship application there is no minimum amount that you must earn to be allowed to sponsor, however the sponsor needs to show some stability and they agree to be financially responsible for the PA for the first 2/3 years of their life in Canada, so...

    Photo copies of photos ?

We just made a word document of our digital images (since we have none printed out), it cost me about $0.50 a page, so about $10.00 in total for twenty odd pages, which seemed fine to me. It also meant that my overly obsessive part of my mind was happy because all of my documents were cleanly on...

    DECEMBER 2014 - OUTLAND Applicants

Hey All, I have a question that maybe you can answer, the principal applicant for our sponsorship visa is living in the UK, but is from a non-visa exempt country (South Africa). I understand that in this situation, the PA may request that the application be processed in either his country of...

    DECEMBER 2014 - OUTLAND Applicants

Hi! My application was received December 3rd, so here's hoping we get a notification of receipt in the next three weeks... I'm most concerend about the massive jump from 11 months to 29 months in the London office, which is where we expected our application to be processed...
