Thanks, that means no profile on 441 created after december 31 2017 12:14:21 UTC got ITA this last draw. Trouble for sub 440, except draw size is increased to 4000+.

Hello everyone, what is the relationship between invited candidates with the lowest ranked scores and Tie-breaking rule: December 31, 2017 at 12:14:21 UTC? Note: If more than one candidate has the lowest score, the cut-off is based on the date and time they submitted their Express Entry profiles.

With consistent bi weekly draws, and no 3 week delays, you should get ITA. However, if you are among those not loosing points due to age this year, and you can still improve your IELTS score, then target CLB9/10. This would certainly improve your chances.

There would have been less incentives/need for freezing entry age till profile expiry, if the 3 week draw delay anomaly/tie break rule was eliminated/ counterbalanced/corrected with back to back draws or some other creative fair adjustments that was effected/present as early as last year. Think...

True, following the quad draw cycle, the draw size will likely increase to 4000 on the 8th August. By monitoring the trend till next week we should be able to accurately predict the cut off. For now let's hope the draw happens bi- weekly consistently, and no more 3 week delays till the year...

@at4446 It's through analysis we an unravel the weaknesses in IRCC's draw strategy, which unfortunately has been abysmal this year. The problems have been the tie break rule, the loss of points due to age factor, and the completely irrational 3 week draw, that could occur before the 8th August...

IELTS results are just overrated. The time there was no IELTS result, and the cut off was on a sub 440 trend, they still managed to coordinate with some provinces to issue nominations en masse, or worse still delay the draw. I hope everyone can now see the downsides of the ridiculous tie break...

Definitely, everyone with a score above 441 will get ITA (if the minimum score/cut off is 441), regardless of when they entered the pool. Tie break rule would only come into effect for those on 441, i.e. all profiles existing before/on the tie break date will get ITA/will be considered first.

This is true, but that figure was just 6 days after the 11th July, draw. From 17th July, a figure of 300/day was assumed to be entering the pool from 441 to 1200.

The draw strategy this year seems unfair in so many ways...However, you might be among the very few on 440 that'll receive ITA tomorrow (if the cut off is 440), since you entered the pool January. There are lots of people who also fell victim to the tie break rule on the 23rd May, unfortunately...

Profiles on 440 where cleared significantly 23rd May. If the 'optimistic scenario' in my analysis turns out accurate, then IRCC might surprise us tomorrow with a 440 cut off (which is not impossible). Therefore, very few profiles on 440 will get ITA, and I hope you'll be one of them.
