Not when it's classified under a noc code. Unfortunately some specialized jobs get clumped together with non specialized ones in the NOC directory.

Not to mention you can't work for more than 4 years on a work permit. Very specialized jobs are going to be hard to fill.

My work permit was issued in may 2013 and it expires in april 2014. It says LMO valid for 1 year but my passport expires in april which is why it's a month short. Anyone know that if I apply for BOWP in december it might get rejected even though it'll be 4 months before my work permit expires...

Sure it feels unfair but you have to remember getting a PR is a privilege. Stay positive man, this isn't under anyone's control on this forum :)

Actually I've always felt like the food industry and IT nocs were getting priority. So unfortunately things haven't changed much. Everyone else has to just hang on tight :)

Also be aware the rules and documents always have a chance of changing. Always make sure you have the latest checklist and other forms. The docs have the revision date-stamp on the bottom.

I'm in the same situation, and I'm positive there is nothing to worry about.

If you feel like you have to explain something, it's always a good idea to do so. It does not need to be notarized.

I got a response today for an email I sent 3 days ago. I included all this info - Surname – Given name(s) - Date of Birth - UCI - Application Number - Type of application - Canadian Experience Class
