How did CIC contact you about the missing certificates? By email? If so, use that email and include either your application number or client number.

Hi Bibitte... It took 2 weeks for Sydney VO between receiving CSQ and asking to confirm passport details. Not sure how long your Visa Office will take. G'luck... :)

It could have been a bit quicker but we were on vacation when the Request to confirm Passport Details came in. But yes... We're very lucky that it went this quickly. G'luck to you, too.

I'd like to offer more words of advice but I can't say for sure since we didn't have to go through this. But, I would put your Canadian address as the Residential and your AU buddy as the postal.

Do you have anyone in AU who can flip it to back to Sydney office? Have the QLD report sent to buddy and have them flip it back to Sydney on the same day.

Double-check what the application says. But I think I sent the BIG FAT envelope to Mississauga which forwards it to the appropriate Visa Office. You can specify which one somewhere on IMM0008. In my case, I specified Sydney, AU and Mississauga forwarded it to that office.
