Go Outland and don't wait till you're married to send off the application. :) As long as you're legal in Canada, it's normal to have the same address. For us, we only used our Canadian address.

It seems like the fastest way for US citizens is an Outland application, same thing for Aussies. Not sure why anybody would apply Inland. We applied Outland for my wife and only used our Quebec postal address. Then again, she was on a work visit so it was kinda expected for her to have a Quebec...

While you wait for CIC's reply, you might as well complete the MIDI papers so that they'll be ready to be posted.

The timeline was reasonable a year ago. :) The 14 month average is just an average; so applications are processed much faster (luckily) and some take much longer (unfortunately).

Once you submit these two forms, the hardest part is next. Radio silence for god knows how long especially when you pay and do police and medical checks upfront...

Even more reason to have it repealed! If doesn't affect the vast majority of Americans and only makes life more difficult for the few. What's that famous saying? No taxation without representation? :)

Once we received the CSQ by regular mail, we scanned it and emailed a copy of the CSQ to our CIC Visa Office. It doesn't hurt to email it to your VO since in some cases from out threads, the hard copy of the CSQ was never received. We received our CSQ 2 weeks after our credit card was charged...
