My GCMS notes dated 11th May 2013 show that medical had been passed, eligibility was in progress and security had not been started. I was issued visa 6 days after that.

My suggestion would be to ask your MP to pass that information to them. that is the only thing they do not ignore. Ask the mp to explicitly state that "no such letters were ever sent".
