Does anyone know anything about the wait times for case specific inquiries? We sent one to London a month ago, and another (unrelated) about two weeks ago with no word. Any idea?

It's absolutely true that it is up to the discretion of VO office, but I will caution that every mention I have heard of for an extension has only been given out to those who have been in process for over - or close to - a year, so those that submitted right after taking the exam. I will agree...

I want to start off by saying that I wish you luck in the future application process - I'm currently waiting for for mine to be checked out by the London office. I would definitely suggest outland, like many of the people on here, because the London waiting times are significantly shorter...

A quick question: We did our medicals August 29th, far before they received our application November 27th. On our ECAS it does not say anything about our medicals being received. Should we be concerned?

I appreciate the idea, but we've decided that it we want to travel for over a month, we'll go to Canada first (with PR, fingers-crossed) and go through the landing interview etc, then travel from Canada. If that's our plan, does anyone know if we have to stay in Canada for a certain time before...

Dear all, We are in a slightly sticky situation. We got our medical done before we realized that it would set the date we had to arrive in Canada by. Our medical expiration date is August 29th and as a teacher in Germany I only finish school on July 25th. We were hoping to do some traveling...

I would suggest that you list what visa office you are going through. Most visa offices have waiting times of over 10 months, so sadly 5 months is actually quite a short amount of time. No office is listed under 8 months, and some are at over 30. I would check here for processing times...
