He mentioned - the 10 sec is AVERAGE, considering breaks, fatigue etc.

Tips for 2016 (Future) PGP Applicants

This make a lot of sense to me, with the 3 servers, that would be: 3 x 8 (hours) x 60 (min) x 60 (sec) / 10 = 8640 (on Jan 4), the rest on Jan 5 & 6. So my guess is: Applications arrived by noon Jan 4th make it to the 5000. Applications arrived by morning-ish Jan 5th (hello Purolator) make it...

Tips for 2016 (Future) PGP Applicants

MMCS mentioned here it cost about 5000CAD to set up a courier company. If that's true, one can recover this in just 20 PGP apps. Starting to think about opening my own. Just need to think of a good name.... cannot decide between "PGP Express" and "Happy PGP"... lol On a serious note, my...

Tips for 2016 (Future) PGP Applicants

If you've read my message correctly you'd see that I filled the latest form and not worried about my application in regards to that. I just gave my opinion to the person that was worried, as I work with controlled documents all the time and I know the rules. But you can go and +1 the smart ass...

Tips for 2016 (Future) PGP Applicants

My point was that they cannot update the forms and keep the same revision. This is against the rules, whoever works with documents control knows that. I work with documents all the time and I know that they did is unacceptable - and therefore probably a mistake.

Tips for 2016 (Future) PGP Applicants

No, I sent by Fedex, but trying to understand where Purolator was in that line - to better estimate my chances..

Tips for 2016 (Future) PGP Applicants

I did same thing as you - was comparing the timestamps on the forms only, just had some better luck I guess, but could have easily send the form from September if I was using the same computer. I don't believe they will reject because of this. This is 100% their fault, not half. Technically you...

Tips for 2016 (Future) PGP Applicants

I already got that, but we do not know what other company they used, so no clue if they were before or after UPS/Fedex or in between. And how many they had 700 or 1500? Still a mess...

Tips for 2016 (Future) PGP Applicants

I just checked this, I downloaded the form first on Sep 24, 2015 - and it was the old format. I didn't filled the forms yet in September - just downloaded to look at them - as this is my first year. At the end of Nov I downloaded them again (on different computer) and started to fill them. So...

Tips for 2016 (Future) PGP Applicants

The over 3000 apps by UPS - was reported by them - I don't see a reason for UPS to provide wrong number. The 3000 apps by all small curriers - that is an estimate made by MMC, based on the lineup he saw and conversation with other curriers. But he didn't talk to all of them. We know the first...

Tips for 2016 (Future) PGP Applicants

Also I wonder if all 3K UPS packages went to one table, so the other 2 were accepting from other curriers at the same time, or UPS had more than 1 guy and they occupied all 3 tables at the same time?

Tips for 2016 (Future) PGP Applicants

Agree. the formula there is based on last year experience - with single table, therefore irrelevant to what happened this year.

Tips for 2016 (Future) PGP Applicants

UPS had over 3000? Wow... that sucks... screws up everyone after them :(( Let's hope the cap will be doubled as promised...

Tips for 2016 (Future) PGP Applicants

But there were 3 officers accepting at the same time, right? Is it possible UPS and Fedex were delivering at the same time to different officers? Also all Fedex deliveries were signed by Tammi, and UPS signed by ADUSEI... so Fedex not nesseseraly started after UPS finished, there might be some...

Tips for 2016 (Future) PGP Applicants

Thanks! Just to clarify that I understand correct, after he scanned the files at 9:19 he had about 1 hour wait, so he actually began delivery only around 10:19? That's even worse that I thought.... :((

Thanks! Have you been there? Any idea at what time Fedex left?

Tips for 2016 (Future) PGP Applicants

According to what you say, that you left around 9 and didn't see any of the big ones, that make me think that the 9:19 would be the time of the first one... Fedex for sure had a lot and would not be done in under 20 min.... That just drives me crazy, wish I could forget about this for now and...
