I applied on 23rd June and I linked my application online. I've received two updates so far; I passed the medical examination and they are now checking if I meet the eligibility requirements. My file is also in Bangalore. What's your status?

I don't know, but I suppose it's because there are fewer applicants for study permits in January as fall is the main intake.

No there is no alternative, unfortunately. A visa will not be issued to you unless you have a CAQ, in order to study in any university in Quebec!
