and yes staple all ur passports together - i once heard from someone - a guy sent all his pp's without stapling them together one if it got misplaced - dunno how true it is -

yes u need to send a cover letter - stating what all u r sending along with the printout of the email u rcd. If u have sent fees, pcc n all already just attach a photocopy of all and mention it in the cover letter tgat u hv already submitted all these things along with ur file and now sending...

I guess status will b same no matter u are using sponsors uci or applicants. The only dif will b of address. about visa issuance well after ppr they usually take 2 to 10 months - now it might take longer coz of strike.
