thanks JSM what i am thinking though is this i HAD to sit the ONC to get access to HNC ONC was 2 years part time = i am thinking this would be 1 year FT HNC was 2 years part time = i am thinking this would be 1 year FT therefore surely i could claim 2 extra years of education???

thanks mute man are you therefore saying that primary school education (pre secondary) does not count towards years of "full time study"? also i have another question - although i have an HNC - i actually done an ONC for 2 years part time and then upgraded to an HNC (another 2 years part time)...
