I've seen the same question in another forum, and the response they got was that you will never be able to sponsor your spouse because you lied on the application. It may be your best bet to consult an immigration lawyer to determine your options.

No need to get another medical :) that is just a standard part of the SA letter. You should look out on ecas to see whether or not they were actually received. On the PR applicants' ecas, you should see a line stating medical results have been received in the next few weeks.

Try creating a Skype account with canada set as your country and use it to call. I'm not sure if you have to buy credits but I saw someone else comment that this is how they reached them outside Canada! There is a way to call phone numbers from Skype.

Finally got SA, my file is on it's way to Warsaw :)

I called the CIC office today and finally got my SA :) :) I got approved on Sept 29, so it took 69 days versus 55 days but I am very excited :D Also I haven't gotten an email or letter, only knew because I called.

Hey Vinz, I am also behind, although not as behind as you. I know that I they have sent your file for escalation, they have 90 days to respond so I would assume July 10th plus 90 days, you should probably have a response pretty soon :) Hopefully that helps! And good luck to you!

I agree, I don't think it will speed anything up, but it will give me peace of mind. I think they have sped up the processing times however as a lot of July applicants you submitted more than a week after me are being approved.
