They have been holding my passport since Dec for the OWP. I have job offers in other countries and I can't get out. This is why this is so frustrating... Medical is completed last January. ECAS is still in process... They are sending me invites for pre-departure seminars which is free from CIIP...

Hi Bechris, i was just wondering why they are not acknowledging birth certificate from NSO? They want from LCR? Is this really the case?

To my fellow kababayan from Manila, what is the meaning of LCR birth certificate? Is this the same as the one in NSO?

Hi Kia99, my heart is pounding reading your qoutes... But until such time I get that email or mail saying I have been approved, anything can happen. Few already had their work permit... I am still left with nothing... it is really frustrating because you can't plan your future... You know what...

There is a link to register for a pre-departure seminar free of charge. According to the email it will help newcomers in planning the first step once landed in Canada. I applied last dec for OPW but until to date there is no update whatsoever.

I have received a pre-departure seminar email from canada manila embassy. But i have not received any confirmation yet whether I am denied or approved both for PR and OWP. Can somebody tell me what is going on? I have been waiting for 6 mos already.
