How to request status for CEC application

e-CAS may still be "in process" even after that. I got my PPR and e-CAS still just says "In Process". ben8286: The only way to get the full status of your file is to order CAIPS notes. Qorax has a post about it on this site; should be easy to find. CAIPS notes give you the play-by-play on...

    Req for additional documents

2009-2010 simply means 2009 and 2010. Personal income tax is by calendar year; there's no reason that CIC would want a September-August "fiscal year". To pdornala: I don't know why they're looking into your income, but the documents I would send are: - letter describing all income for 2009 -...

Ecase System - When we can see our file details...

AOR = Acknowledgment of Receipt, which means that a visa officer has briefly checked your application for completeness (no missing documents) but has not assessed it in detail. Processing time is hard to predict. The time on the CIC website is how long it took for typical applications that...

Ecase System - When we can see our file details...

Mine started showing up the same day I got my AOR in the mail. e-CAS is pretty much useless for applications at visa offices outside of Canada...

Anyone recieved medical requests from Pilot-Ottawa Office? Help!Help!

4-5 months is quite normal, unfortunately. I read about this on another forum, so you're not the only one (unless you posted there as well? :-). This CPP-O office has been processing "selected" files in other immigration classes for a while, but I think they've only just started for CEC. It...

Still awaiting assessment but they have requested medical exam

Traditionally, the sequence was: AOR (the letter with the file number), IA (Initial Assessment) with medical request, PPR (passport request = approved). Earlier this year, they started sending medical requests before IA. I got my medical request 2 months after my AOR, and many people who...

Need advice on medicals - Urgent....

You could try doing it using your Client ID, but that isn't well-tested (I know of one person who did it). Doing it before AOR won't save much time (if any). I would wait until AOR, when you get your regular file number.

Need advice on medicals - Urgent....

Medicals are the same for everyone. Some people will have to undergo additional tests and visit specialists, but that's based on the examination by the DMP. The list of DMPs (doctors) is on the CIC website (http://www.cic.gc.ca/dmp-md/medical.aspx). The medical instructions will just tell you...

Generic application form - Including parents

No. The form says "spouse or common-law partner, if applicable, and all of your dependent children". Nothing about parents, and in the menu "10 a) Relationship to principal applicant", there is no option for "Parent". You can (and must) give information about your parents on the "Additional...

    Covering letter

I wouldn't do this. All the details you're thinking of including are already in the forms, and the cover letter makes more work for you and more work for CIC. Imagine you're a visa officer who's going through a giant pile of mail. Would you want to get an extra piece of paper to read and...

    Immigration medicals during pregnancy

I can give you a theoretical answer. I would also try searching this site and the web, since what actually happens isn't always what's supposed to happen... From the DMP Handbook (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/pub/dmp-handbook.pdf), the form for the chest X-ray (the only test that poses any...

Need advice on medicals - Urgent....

Why do you think that? Many CEC applicants have done advance medicals, and those people seem to get approved faster, which isn't surprising since it cuts out one phase of the AOR - IA+MREQ - ME - PPR process. The 12-month validity is very rarely an issue, unless you do medicals before AOR (but...

    mistake in generic application form

I don't see the point of trying to withdraw your application; who knows how long that would take. I would send them an e-mail and a letter, explaining that you made a mistake filling out the form and wish to correct it. Include your date of birth and Client ID (from your work permit). Maybe...

Police clearance certificate - 3 months validity

3 months means 3 months. My US police certificate (FBI letter) expired about a week after Buffalo received my application, and it wasn't a problem. Just make sure they receive your application by September 9th.

Graduate Research Assistant as work experience for TFW category of CEC

You're definitely not eligible under CEC. Even if we assume your GRA counts as work, Canadian work experience has to have been within the last 3 years. Work experience elsewhere doesn't matter for CEC.

Is it compulsory to pay RFPRF at the time of PR application submission ??

No. But if you have the money, I would pay the RPRF now; it's one less thing to worry about later.

    PR FOR RELIGIOUS WORKER

That usually means they've done a preliminary check for completeness (no missing documents). So that's good. But it doesn't mean they've checked your employment details, NOC skill level, etc.

NY VO vs LA VO after medical... wanna start a thread for this..

New York is probably the slowest visa office, so if it's taking 3+ months at LA it's no surprise that it's 3+ months at NY. On the trackitt.com CEC tracker, sorting by "Medicals Done" and looking for people who have received PPR from New York, it takes 1 to 4 months; 3 months is typical.
