I just edited the last part of my response starting at "sorry" since I read it wrong.

civil wedding and any red flags?

What's your current status in Canada? Will you be doing inland application or outland? There's a distinction between a civil ceremony and a small ceremony. Civil is simply that it's not related to religion. Civil really shouldn't matter at all. Smaller ceremony could matter. When it comes to...

How long should it take to get a case number?

Or you could call CIC and tell them that you need a confirmation. That's what we did and after a little bit of talking, they agreed to send it.

How long should it take to get a case number?

Sometimes, fairly common, they do not send you and acknowledging receipt at all. I would suggest calling them and tell them to send you one.

Folks, what is going on with my application?!

If the letter was in fact landing letter, they still had our old address when that letter was sent. I updated the address few days after it says that a DM letter was sent (still same old address online so they haven't updated it) and our representative informed CIC as well, but again after they...

Folks, what is going on with my application?!

Great! With your experience from here would you happen to know if it's possible that they sent letter by regular mail this time rather than email, and therefore delay? Are these kind of delays common?

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2014

So randomscrub had 11 days between his/her landing letter and the actual interview. In my case that would mean this Tuesday if infact that is what they have sent. CIC says they have sent a letter in regards to DM, but i haven't received it, or haven't heard from representative. This makes me...

Folks, what is going on with my application?!

It the letter sent by email like the SA my wife got, or could it be a regular letter and that would explain the delay? It's really weird I haven't heard anything from representative about a letter/email. So if i have the landing thing in a few weeks, is it directly after that event that i am a...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2014

We got SA September 30th. On mine (applicant) it says decision made and that a letter was sent October 2nd, but we haven't recieved anything. What does decision made mean? Is that AIP or is it even final decision made and landing interview?

Folks, what is going on with my application?!

In the clear for what? :O It can't be a final decision, right? Wouldn't it make more sense if it was AIP? What I mean is, would decision made mean AIP has been sent, or is it more likely to mean final decision and landing interview?

Folks, what is going on with my application?!

Alright, i'm gonna try to keep it short. It's an inland application. My wife is sponsoring me. My wife got approved to sponsor me, we got a letter in regards to that on september 30th. On there it had an application number and everything, so I decided to look into it online. When we go on CIC...

Leave Canada for a month while spouse sponsorship is in process

Alright, but just so I get it straight, that only applies if sponsor is PR? My wife, the sponsor, is a Canadian citizen, her leaving Canada wouldn't affect our PR inland application? I know it's not a good idea for me to leave. What about if she was registered at another address than me for a...

Leave Canada for a month while spouse sponsorship is in process

Ah! But in my case, me being applicant and my wife being sponsor (Canadian citizen) we could be apart while application is still being processed without it matter?

Leave Canada for a month while spouse sponsorship is in process

I thought the rule were that you have to live together for 2 years once PR was granted? Do you really have to live together during the entire process of the application too? Ofcourse it does look good, but is a requirement?

Did you send medical when you first applied, or did you wait until they requested it? What was the reason for second clearance?

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2014

This will be the last time I say this. I am not saying that you should be happy about the process, I am just stating my opinion, that it is classless to complain to people worse off than you about your situation. Hopefully more people get to experience an incredible fast second stage soon.

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2014

Again, I am not defending CIC. I don't understand how you can't see my point at all when your entire process took 18 months, something that many people here would beg for. It does come off as tasteless when you complain about something that the majority of people you're complaining to only could...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2014

Can I ask you what you mean by signing up for 8? 8 was never the entire process, from application sent to PR, 8 was just for the first stage. Even back in the spring of 2014 when you applied, the waiting time for stage one and stage two combined was 16-18 months. I am not defending CIC. If...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2014

My post has nothing to do with most of the things you are mentioning. My whole point was that everyone isn't subjected to the same bs, because you weren't, your process was a lot faster than for most. From what I can understand, as of now, most people have to wait around 26 months for the entire...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2014

Your entire process got done in 18 months, when processing times for initial stage are 16 months alone for most people, and yet you complain? Very classless of you to be honest.
