CIC says No to CBSA records.

CBSA report only shows entries in Canada, not exits. You need stamps to show exits, or the I94 report.

    Entries missing

They can look at your bank activities, credit cards, etc. Always declare everything.

best site to study for citizenship exams

I think the best one is the Richmond Public Library one. Also the sample questions at the back is also good to go through.

CIC says No to CBSA records.

Yes, I ordered CBSA records before submitting application. It took about a month. I used it to help me compile a correct residence calculator. I actually noticed that on some stamps I lost a day because I arrived shortly after midnight - e.g. 12:05AM... but the stamp showed the previous day. I...

CIC says No to CBSA records.

I got my CBSA records as I travel often (over 30 times in last 4 years) and I wanted to be 100% sure of my travels. I used it to check my records before I submitted my application. I also brought it with me to the interview, as well as the I94 printout for US travels. The interviewer was...

Citizenship test and Valid PR card

When I did my test and when they inspected the PR card, it was mostly for identity purposes. If you do not need to travel there is no need to renew your PR card Good luck at your test

Physical residence less than 1095 and non routin procedure

It is absolutely NOT worth applying under 1095 days. In fact, I strongly recommend giving yourself an additional 10 day buffer if you can. The more, the better. It makes a big difference in the complexity of your application and the processing speed. I applied with 10 days+ buffer and...

Hi all! Just wanted to provide an update. From the date I mailed my application to Sydney NS (March 2014) to the date I did my oath in Toronto was a total of 7 months. My application had a fingerprint request which was processed quickly (I did it at Commissionaires). I also have lots of...

If you apply in passport office, is it mandatory for you to pick it up? Or can you ask for it to be sent to you by mail.

    Canadian passport

    1. For the citizenship certificate, when you apply in person, do they keep it for the whole time and return it to you when your passport is ready (after 10 days?) 2. What about the "document to support identity" (e.g. drivers license). Do you have to give that up too until they are done with it?

Citizenship test in Glen Erin Mississauga

I wrote my test this past week in Glen Erin Mississauga. It was announced before the start of the test that people would get scheduled for the oath if there are no issues with their files, but this is only on a case by case basis. Not everyone received an oath invite. The office was staffed by...

Shall I apply now, please advise

There are plenty of documents that you can prepare and collect to prove your residence in Canada. For example, cellphone bills, credit card bills, bank statements, a letter from your pastor/church, etc. You could probably start gathering them and if required bring it to your interview and...

Re: Oath timeline for Mississauga test @ 7:45am I had my test at the Mississauga office today at 12:45pm - there were about 60 people writing the test - many of them (including myself) quite nervous! The office was staffed by great people - friendly, diverse team who were genuine and...

    March 2014 applications

Don't expect anything much. When I expected a test letter I got a fingerprint request instead. Then.. after submitting fingerprint request and expecting to wait a while as a non-routine applicant, I got a test letter :) Just relax and you'll get there eventually :)
