Got my COPR in the mail today! Two copies, one has one of the photos I submitted with the application originally. I received no email and I haven't had to send photos or a scan of my passport. Off to the border tomorrow morning! :D

His brother has to qualify for residency off his own back, for example he could be capable of a trade that is in demand. Canada is not a free for all and so no one can just sponsor who ever they wish. There is an exception known as the 'lonely Canadian' which is what CDNPR was referring to.

It's a server database update, this has happened to everyone and doesn't indicate any particular progress.

Just an update, MyCIC now states the application status is closed and the final decision is approved :D. ECAS still says final decision with the latest update as medical results received. I'm guessing I now need to wait for the COPR in the mail as I'm visa free? Difficult to believe until I...

Thanks muchly! What's the current thinking? ECAS is more accurate than MyCIC? On ECAS it has no updates since medical results received but just says decision made.

Just checked ECAS and I've got decision made on the PA side, still in progress on MyCIC.

It means absolutely nothing.

It's a system database update... nothing more.

You have been approved as a sponsor, your husband's application is still in progress. It is up to him/you to keep his status valid. Either he leaves which allows him to reenter Canada, this has a risk of CBSA denying entry. Or he applies to extend his visitor visa.

There is no issue. They did a big database update to reflect what the vast majority already know.

I did both and gave a title of the date, occasion and from who to who.

I would put her on the rental agreement. Assume that everything regarding the application goes through, otherwise like you say it kind of looks weird. Plus if she'll be living with you she'll need to be at least listed on the rental agreement regardless.

Hopefully...! :) I'm heading back to Canada on the 31st August, would be great to enter as a PR instead of visitor but it doesn't seem likely at the moment, good luck to you!
