Sreeram, what kind of permit do you hold in Canada (Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident, Work visa, student visa, etc.)?

I believe if she applies for a visitor visa, she shall state a proper purpose of visit, informing that her fiance is in Canada. The PR-sponsorship application that you will file later will be a very long application and will include details regarding her travel history, past applications, etc...

Congratulations! Can you tell me what other things do you need to send along with the Passport. My wife has some work related travel in the month of November and that would be the time when she might receive the passport request. So I want her to be prepared in advance. Thanks!

I would suggest you call the CIC and ask them. The call centre executives are pretty responsive and they would tell you the status of your application.

After the AOR yesterday, I received an email just now informing me about my Sponsorship Approval. 8) The application is now forwarded to the New Delhi Visa Office. As a wise man once quoted, now the wait begins... :)
