I'm going to repeat what I said in another thread. I think CIC wouldn't reject your PR if you don't meet the requirements they set with the new ask for additional documents. I'm sure CIC is well-aware that most ON-PNP Masters grad without job offer would not accumulate 2 years of relevant work...

Just submit what you have and be upfront about your current status. I really doubt CIC will be so uptight about such issues when you already got PPR. Yup contacted the doctors and confirmed the medicals were already sent. No updates on my ECAS, no reply to my email to CIC (sent two weeks ago).

At least your ECAS status says that it is "In Process". Mine just reads: "We received your application for permanent residence on April 17, 2014.", and nothing more despite submitting the medical reports more than a month ago (close to 2 months ago to be precise). You can email the Sydney...

Thank you! I've submitted a request for GCMS notes. I'll probably use your method of asking for a new set of GCMS notes right after I receive one. Gives me a peace of mind in getting regular updates on my application process, as well as keeps them on their toes in processing my application!

Isn't the whole premise of Ontario PNP without job offer to give unemployed Masters/PhD grads an opportunity to apply for PR? If the PNP cert has already been bestowed to the candidate, not being engaged in a permanent job is certainly not a deal-breaker for CIC to grant PR.

No both spouses cannot be holding open work permits at the same time. At least one person has to have a closed work permit in order for his/her spouse to be eligible for an open work permit. You can ask your co-worker to contact CIC to confirm.

Does that mean that the clinic you did your medicals with did not send your medical results? Did you contact the clinic to resend your medical results?

I took the IELTS exam on 6 Apr and am waiting for my results to arrive via snail mail. How long does it take for the mail to reach me? I'm living in Ontario btw.
