I would say it depends on the VO. Some are speedy, others not so much. I'm one of those whose medical was requested before transfer. I hope you get the request very soon so things will start moving again.

Yes. Usually the medical request isn't far behind. In some cases the file gets transferred to the local Visa Office then they request the medical. This usually causes a little delay. Hope you get your request right after SA

Decision Made under Sponsorship Application means you are approved as a sponsor, your email is on the way.

Hi there. The email you received on December 24th is your AOR1. Give CIC a call; ask about your Sponsorship Approval and Medical request. Won't hurt. Sometimes it helps to give them a little nudge.

SA is Sponsor Approval. It's what comes after AOR. Call 1 888 242 2100 Select Options 2 2 1 0 to speak to an agent If you're outside Canada you call 613 944 4000. Then select option 1 1 1 to transfer to CIC. Same as above, select options 2 2 1 0 to speak to an agent. Alot of times the line...

Give CIC a call and have the call centre agent send an email to the agent working on your file. I called 2 weeks after AOR and was told that 2 weeks is too much to wait for SA. Had my SA within 2 days of calling. Good Luck.

I haven't yet heard of anyone's application being returned for these reasons but I'm hoping your file ends up in the hands of an agent that's more lenient and will overlook this. Some can be cruel :(

I think this whole process depends solely on the agent that gets your file. Some are very efficient and some not so much. We can only hope ours ends up in good hands.

I got the request to pay RPRF the day before I got my SA. I was always of the opinion that you had to wait for the request, not sure if you can just go ahead with payment.

Finally got an update this morning. File has been transferred to Mexico VO. Timeline: AOR - Dec 17 SA- Jan 4 MR- Jan 5 MEP- Jan 19 FT Letter- Feb 14 Background Check-Not Started Eligibility- Reviewing The Wait Continues........
