Thanks QuebecOkie, it would be better if there was some sort of dialogue. For example if they said now, you will need a new medical, I could sort it now. Then there is we are having a baby, the info only says for you to tell them once the baby is born. Oh well it shouldn't be much longer and we...

I hope that everyone is able to cope with the slow down in processing, I just try not to think about it. I'm just hoping that soon the busy summer period will be over and that they will start processing a bit faster again. On the strike action alert on the application processing times internet...

To ask for the 2 years, there is a section which asks you. (If AIP and PR are given at the same time, this work permit is not needed anyway). You have to apply for it though for 2 reasons, one you need a status all the way through the sponsorship process and two it can take longer, you don't...

Hi princesultan, I sent an open work permit with my sponsorship application. I'm glad I did as I would have had to wait a lot longer to work. It also makes sure you have a status all the way through the process. So for your question, below I have given one tip about the open work permit...

Thanks kanadskazena! Your are in the same position as I wrote in reply to Tomorisu; just by looking at out small sample (people on the spreadsheet). It's obvious time has increased compared to 2 or 3 months ago. But then we are in the busiest time. At least you have a good chance of the...

Thanks Tomorisu! It surely can't be long for your AIP now and the rest of the people on the spreadsheet. I was just looking at the numbers on the spreadsheet. A couple of months back, all the AIP's were issued either straight after the CSQ or within 1 or 2 months. Now that time has increased...
