Hiii Shahin! Great to hear that you've planned your travel! Do you mind advising about which airlines & route you have booked through please? Plus, as you've asked earlier, can we Indian students with Canadian student visa, board any other flight apart from Air India & Air Canada from here...

Medical Exam expires due to inability to travel for the Fall - Please Help!

Yeah I totally understand what you mean. And trust me I too had similar concerns and can very well relate to all the questions / points you've raised with regard to the medical. The website doesn't answer questions like this - just gives out general guidance mostly. Yeah, I know, either they...

Medical Exam expires due to inability to travel for the Fall - Please Help!

I know...exactly! I completely get you; I too was immensely tensed about this till I got it clarified from them. It indeed is a big relief! Yes, that's correct. IRCC twitter replies to my questions & CBSA's answers to my phone calls confirmed many times that we need to land there before Visa...

Medical Exam expires due to inability to travel for the Fall - Please Help!

Hey! I sorted this out by repeatedly asking questions to IRCC, CBSA by phone & on twitter. Once your study permit application is fully approved, you don't need to give the medicals again. You just need to enter the country before the validity date printed on your Visa. That's it.

Arrived today for fall, study permit issued, online classes

Hey! @prospectiveab , hi! If you don't mind, do you have online/in-class courses for the fall? And is your institution issuing you the "travel support letter"?

    Allowed to leave Canada

Oh man, there's tons of these colleges issuing those letters.

https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/arrived-today-for-fall-study-permit-issued-online-classes.693892/ One more here. Not saying I believe everything that's put up online but still just thought I might as well post this here...

    Allowed to leave Canada

Yes I understand what you're saying. I also realize that potentially everything we come across online may be suspect. As two of you here pointed out, this could very well be a fake, misleading post. What is concerning is that there's a constant inflow of information like this, with at least a...

    Allowed to leave Canada

I literally see so many posts like this everywhere these days. It's not fair that some international students are not allowed to board a flight & are forced to start studying from home due to online classes being "non-essential" for entry, but others who somehow reach there get entry easily (...

    Allowed to leave Canada

There's so many more posts, tweets, etc. out there saying the same thing. I've seen many like this. Look at the number of likes, retweets, comments & replies.

    Allowed to leave Canada

https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/landed-safe-from-italy-smooth-border-clearance.697017/ Another one. Here apparently, there were no questions asked at all at the border about whether classes are online or in-class.

    Allowed to leave Canada

Immediately found this one - In the replies to comments, this person says that classes were all online. But that the college still gave a letter saying that his presence is mandatory. He's replied to all questions people have asked & it's a long conversation on a twitter post.

Sure, will post the links here. Just give me some time to gather those. I'll be right back.

Okay...so I hope this happens soon as well.

    Allowed to leave Canada

These are all posts made by people here as well as on twitter. I wonder whether those count for circumstantial evidence...? I'm not sure. I hope they do count though.

    Allowed to leave Canada

100% yes. The current scenario with colleges doing whatever they're doing really needs to stop for everyone's good. If the border agents are visiting the course/institution website, then, they should continue doing that consistently and really follow-up on this issue of fake letters of...

    Allowed to leave Canada

Again, that's really sad and unfortunate. But how I wish they get to know about all this! In a pandemic situation like this, with things rapidly changing everyday and so much uncertainty, it doesn't help at all if the CBSA officer just merely looks at a letter, and allows entry right-away...
