Also, if the waiting time is relatively long you could just take your papers and go to the immigration office and tell them you want to do the landing process and they might just do it same day or the day after. I tried it and it worked !! good luck

By the way, many others have done the same. All you have to do is call immigration canada and book an appointment

Hi Koumail, I got my PR visa a couple of years ago "Skilled worker class" and I did not have to leave Canada to do it, I just went to immigration Canada office in my city and did it there. I am not sure about family class but I would imagine it would be the same.
