Many people stuck in this situation from last year. And it's not because something is wrong with our files, it's because nobody is looking at them. People are loosing their jobs over this.

I did something similar too. Notes in electronic file on 13th aug and notes in physical file on 10th sep. I got the notes in electronic file on 16th sep. So i think i will get the physical file notes somewhere around 10th oct. BTW, whoever is thinking that if the call centre agents told you...

Its really lame on cic's part. I am going to loose a senior programmer's job because of these idiots. Call centre guys dont do anything either. I have requested a copy of my physical file through atip hoping that it would at least move my file from where it currently is sitting.

If it contains year 2015, it means they have picked up your file and you will get something soon. If it says year 2014, then its just a batch update and means nothing.

June 05 applicant. Got the third line "We started processing your application on July 17, 2014" It is exactly one year prior to the due date in my GCMS notes. I don't know if we should be hopeful of something this month itself or is it just CIC fooling around with us.

Got my GCMS notes today. No update. The file hasn't been touched at all.

I called cic again today and they said 13 month period is from the day Ottawa office receives our file and not from the day Sydney office received the file. Ottawa office received my file on 25th july. So, I "must" call them after 25th August they said.

I hope you are right but I think they are picking up only the second review applications and not the other ones. (the applicants who received medical in Jan or Feb)

I hope they pick up our applications soon too. Good luck with receiving your PR before the deadline. At least I don't have to worry about something like that. I have my work permit until feb 2016 and can extend it for another year if need be.
