Yes I am outland and my visa office is Ottawa. I ordered GCMS notes on the 4th September and only received them yesterday so it took nearly 6 weeks to arrive.

Eligibility was passed by an officer on 31st August

There is no reason why they would cancel applications of people who have already applied. It would make no sense at all, stop trying to create panic.

Hi I am just wondering if anyone knows if there a difference in process for inland and outland applications. For outland I know we get PPR but do we only get COPR when we land in Canada at the airport? We won't get COPR sent to us before we enter the country?

I don't see this as all negative. Students have to be able to enter the country for their term start (and yes they do pay more money). PR applications aren't going to miss out if they can't enter the country by a certain date. But the fact that IRCC are starting to make exemptions to allow...

On your document checklist does it ask for that? I don't think it is required, I don't remember it saying that for me.

There are photo booths around a lot in Post Offices, supermarkets, shopping centres, train stations etc. It is self service, it prints out 6 passport sized photos for you. They look like this.

I haven't really been following updates on this forum for a while but I just checked the immitracker and see a few outland applicants have received PPR recently. Have Canada changed their rules to allow PPR holders to travel to Canada now if they were approved after March? Or do PPR holders...

Yes that's called a ghost update. It's thought that it happens when someone has been looking at your file so it's a good sign.

Logged into my CIC account today for the first time in a few days. Got a ghost update but that's probably because I submitted a webform with an address change on the 21st August. They didn't respond to the part where I asked about an update for my application....

I submitted a webform on 21st August to update my address and ask about the status of my application but I still haven't heard back. Has anyone else had to wait so long for a response? It seems like it's 4-5 days for a response for most people.
