On the contrary, I would go with option 2 since you have to go outside the country to do the landing anyway, and knowing that the PR Card processing time is not consistent. With option 2, you can go to India for vacation and complete the landing without having to constantly worry about when...

Ok, I just called the call center to check the status of my PR card. I was told it was mailed on Tuesday and it's a regular post. So I'm guessing it would take anywhere between 5-10 days to receive it.

They send you an email, "Acknowledgement of Receipt". It usually takes a few days to receive it. All the best! Cheer! Sandy
