I have been waiting for my work permit extension since end August... till now still 'on hold'.

I have been stopped at the airport with just a work permit. It is not enough. You need a visa that allows you re-entry.

If you are Ontario PNP, then you are waiting like everyone else. I applied on 1 August. To be honest, I am not holding my breath. Perhaps Feb or Mar I will get AOR and not before that.

I am in the same boat as you. I am both PNP and CEC. Let me know if you find out anything more from CIC. Will you be creating an EE profile come Jan 1st? Also, do you have overseas education qualification? Mine is from Australia, so I might need to do a Educational Credential Assessment (ECA).

You are lucky! Mine is 1 August and still no AOR. Not sure why some are faster than others....

So is anyone doing their ECA now in preparation for EE? The ECA process seems to take several weeks. I am supposing you will need to submit it when you create an EE profile but I can't be sure. Can anyone clarify please?

What do you mean "it will now considered under Express Entry"? It clearly states: If you apply before January 1, 2015: We will process your application under the rules in place at the time you applied. So not considered under Express Entry. Correct me if I am wrong.

I believe once they reject you, you will have 60 days to restore your work status. However, restoration takes about 3 months.

I applied in August 2014, but still no AOR so I will likely try for EE too. My only concern is they will cancel my previous application if they see I am going for EE. Do you think that's the case?
