Excellent work! I was speaking to the RAMQ last week and was informed that if you call them and open a new file then send them the documents they need: The 3 Month waiting period starts the day they open your file. I hope this works for you and that you can continue updating us with your...

Quick Question & Looking for inland common-law app advice? :)

I understand peoples advice that you shouldn't leave Canada while your application is being processed however being from America and having a visa greatly reduces the risk, The only risk is if they don't let you back into Canada however I don't see any reason that they would. I'm from New...

    Common-law sponsorship???? Help!

Simple answer: Get married! It enables you to apply about a month after the wedding and for him to stay in Canada during the process and work (OWP application). It is also easier to prove to the CIC your relationship is long term. However if you don't want to get married when his IEC visa...

    2012 Quebec Inland Applicants

That was our problem. It was written on our letter from the CIC that we had 4 months to apply to the MICC then send them the CSQ. On the letter from the MICC is said if the CIC request the CSQ you need to send them copy 3. I thought I had read somewhere on this forum that I didn't need to send...

Ill ask again as no response before, People that have got their AIP, did you send your CSQ directly to the CIC or was the MICC sending a copy enough?

No problem, My In-Laws live in Sherbrooke so that's we we will probably end up. Yes, not understanding I could leave the form blank really slowed me down in understanding the whole process. Well good luck and ask me any questions when you think of them, I found it so hard to get hold of the...

ON THE LIGHTER SIDE: Paranoia during the "wait"

My wife's sponsoring me and I made the welfare joke but only a few times before it wasn't funny. I also say "oh well if Quebec/Canada rejects us then we will have to go live in my Country near my family and friends and we don't want that do we"

    Québec Sponsorship

I understand... took me 6 months to find work after a 4 month intensive french course. I'm working in a kitchen for minimum wage its all I could find where we live (Beauce). Where are you Living? With the Open Work Permit you can apply for that with your PR application and you don't need a LMO...

Hi, I read your post and will try and answer some of the points based on my experience. I think you asked so many questions it put people off from trying to answer. For me, I arrived in Quebec in March 2012 on a Working Holiday Visa from New Zealand. After looking through the CIC website we...

    2012 Quebec Inland Applicants

I am currently studying French 3-hrs 3-times a week at the adult education centre in Saint Georges, at first they wanted to charge me $5 an hour but after showing my work visa and a "job offer" (I used a pay slip) and lots of broken french, its now free. My visa does state that I cant study but...

So far I have read FW 2, FW2, IP 1, and OP11 will get to IP2 and IP8 this weekend. I know that it cant speed or change the process but just knowing all the information and how the CIC makes its decisions has removed all the stress I had about the whole process!

That's one way to put it... I feel we are the lucky ones, Canadian spouse, being from visa exempt countries and being able to afford the fees etc. That's good to know that refugees get that extra help.

    2012 Quebec Inland Applicants

To be honest I am quite surprised at how quickly everything is progressing, at the start I thought I was in for a long and difficult wait. After reading this forum I found so much more information that is applicable to me than I did on the CIC website. I now understand implied status and that...

You are correct, we have a quiet similar timeline. It helps a lot just to see how the CIC and MICC progresses with other applications.
