    Unfortunately no you can’t it must be valid and they will issue the Co-Op work permit or the open work permit the same validity as your original study permit. Let’s say you got a new study permit and you didn’t apply for your wife or your kids in the same time then you have better option then...

    90 days that’s really too long !! You should get it in the next 10 days because of the delays & let’s hope that the process not taking any much longer. When is your study permit going to expire?

    Unfortunately there is nothing we can do even submit a web forum will be the same as calling.at the border they can not issue a study or a work permit but if you already have one they can issue a Co-op work permit and open work permit for your spouse or PGWP

    I am in a similar situation like you , I called them yesterday and they told me that there is a delay of 100 days in study permit extensions with family members and that they are working on applications received on may 18th .     It has been 65 days since I applied on July 3rd .I applied for a study permit extension and co-op work permit with spouse open work permit and 2 study permits for my kids and I am still waiting
