Question for you all: How did you mail out your prints? I've got mine ready to be mailed tomorrow. Should I bother with tracking/signature? I am thinking to at least get tracking. And a side note, I can't believe how ridiculous the current wait time is. Had I realized just how terrible it is...

Hi everyone, quick question about the payment. I'm about ready to mail off my prints, and in filling out the credit card payment form I see it asks for $18 USD. How do I do this with a Canadian credit card? I know the exchange rate changes often... Can I just put $18 and they will figure it out...

Does ECAS update on weekends? Is there any point in checking today & tomorrow?

Mine was received Feb 5 and I'm still waiting for SA too. And I'd say my app was pretty straightforward.

Does anyone know if I can call the call centre on my sponsor's behalf to find out if we got SA yet? He works during call centre hours so I wanted to do it but didn't want to waste my time on hold all day just to be told it has to be him calling.

My boyfriend and I both have UCIs already from previous immigration stuff so I was able to use those. If you don't have any previous applications with CIC then you wouldn't have a UCI yet.

On CIC's website, go to "check application status." When I use my sponsor's UCI, it comes up. When I use my (the sponsored person's) UCI, all I get is an update on my PR app, nothing about sponsor approval. SA is still in process for me online, I might try the call centre to ask.

Yeah I will probably have to be patient and wait for my official letter. I used a UCI to log in.

Okay here is what it shows online: I see no file number. Do I have to wait for the formal letter to get that? If you suspect I have SA already, when should that be reflected online?

I GOT AOR!! Woohoo!!! Still no official letter in the mail as I didn't put an email on my application, but I checked on CIC's website with my sponsor's information and it says my app was received and they began processing it March 31. Hopefully SA will be soon to follow! Good luck to everyone else!!
