    Leaving Canada for Good!!!!!!!!!

Correct. Mostly just answering that specific question. To each their own. There should always be several factors to consider so if Australia is where you think you need to be, go for it, though an education isn't a guarantee of good employment.

    Divorce after Landing...

I am trying to look up what you must do, but so far I have nothing concrete. You will more than likely need an immigration lawyer. One key thing is, provided you are permitted to continue with the PR process, your sponsor is still financially responsible for you over the initial 3 years. So...

    Leaving Canada for Good!!!!!!!!!

Lowest I found is roughly $36,000 CAD at a university that doesn't even make Australia's own ranking list; so not sure what the quality of education is in comparison to that amount for tuition. Only goes up from there. Good luck.

US Citizen Filing For Taxes in the US

If it is required by law. Maybe I don't understand all of this stuff since I am not that far down the path of life, but if I still need to file taxes while living abroad, I will, unless I choose to renounce my U.S. citizenship. I don't want any issues if I decide to move back some day in the...

US Citizen Filing For Taxes in the US

I believe the U.S. government has been taking about 25-30% of my pay, though I usually get a decent return after filing... Even if that is true, I am just too upstanding to risk it. Same with my wife's emergency room bill here in the states... she has no credit here, she is a Canadian...

Applying for Proof of Citizenship Urgently

Will be moving to Edmonton, AB where my wife is from. She has family and friends there so it will make the adjustment a little easier for us, and it is easier than trying to get her PR in the U.S..

    Am I a Citizen

The other thing that concerns me is this: As well as this: Being that your mother was born in 1967, dual/multiple citizenship was prohibited during that timeframe, and she would have needed to file for retention and also renounce her U.S. citizenship. So, depending on how the act reads, she...

    Filing your taxes yourself

I would also be interested to know as my wife has been here in the U.S. with me for the past year and I don't want her to get in trouble for not filing her taxes.

    Am I a Citizen

Well, based on the information you provided, I also attempted to utilize the assessment tool and this was the result: The part in bold is what concerns me. Upon doing some amateur research (I am not a lawyer and it is possible I may misinterpret the information I come across), it may come...

    Am I a Citizen

Honestly it will come down to being able to prove (Usually by birth certificate) that your mother is indeed a Canadian. If you can prove that, then more than likely, you too are a Canadian citizen though you would be a second generation Canadian citizen via lineage. To prove you are a...

    License Exchange- USA & Alberta

You will receive it by mail, however, in the meantime you will be given a piece of paper that serves as a temporary license. Once the actual arrives, you rip up the paper one.

    License Exchange- USA & Alberta

I am planning to do the same myself, but I haven't quite nailed down the process. Alberta DOES exchange license for license with the U.S. though you completely surrender your U.S. license. I would definitely obtain your driving record if possible as I would imagine it would help even if it...

Applying for Proof of Citizenship Urgently

Well, if you google "Applying for Canadian Proof of Citizenship Urgently" (This applies specifically to the Proof of Canadian Citizenship Certificate only; i.e. You have to already be a Canadian citizen but need proof), it lists what circumstances allow you to request this service. Being as I...
