    ***November 2018*** INLAND SPOUSAL SPONSORSHIP

Nov 13th application here. We just got AIP and DM on Sponsor’s side! So happy, relieved, excited! Hopefully, PA’s DM will follow soon. It seems like you wait forever~ then eligibility starts, then passes, then first DM within 3 days. Best wishes for the same speed of processing for the...

    ***November 2018*** INLAND SPOUSAL SPONSORSHIP

This afternoon, there was a ghost update on GCKey with no changes to account. Then a short time later, there was another “update to account” and it now says “We are reviewing whether you meet eligibility requirements.” How long does it typically take for AIP, SA and DM from this update? Thanks...

My husband had his app received on Nov 13. It seems like it’s been forever without any update~ the last was background check started on March 12. Finally, tonight, we read in ECAS on PA side~ “We started processing (Principal Applicant)’s application on May 7, 2019”. Can someone help me with...

Thank you for this info! I had been checking on ECAS for only my husband’s (who is the PA) status updates. It worked!

I was curious about why OWP would be delayed until after AIP for a PA still in status, so I googled it and came across this website, with #22, 23 & 24 (maybe) applicable: https://canadianprinfo.com/2018/05/10/inland-spousal-sponsorship-open-work-permit-owp-frequently-asked-questions-concerns/...

    **SEPTEMBER 2018** INLAND SPOUSE SPONSORSHIP

Barsarah, you are a wealth of information and so valuable across the various threads. Thank you! My husband is a November applicant, but I also follow the Sept applicants thread, as it gives me a good idea (and much hope) regarding what’s in store for us two months from now. Thanks again...

Hello S2111S, Actually, my husband has had two furtherance letters. He had his medical in Jan 21, and as the CIC panel doctor has two weeks to submit his results (which he took), the first furtherance letter didn’t come until Feb 14. He was required to do a CT scan~ these results were submitted...

Has anyone been able to successfully access their progress bar on their My CIC account? We received the email this morning that it’s now been added to the account, but the account looks the same. I’d appreciate some advice on how to see this feature.

You may want to check via phone with CiC, but I believe that you are able to take any training that is 6 months or less in total. Otherwise, you would need a study permit.

The xrays indicated that he has abnormal lobular mass in his lungs. After the MR doctor submitted the info to CIC, they requested a CT scan. We had, of course, already gone ahead with this before the request, so this was available to MR dr. The hold up has been that the MR doctor is given a two...

The doctor is given a two week window to upload/submit it after doing the medical. You can call the doctor’s office and ask what date the medical information was uploaded to CIC.

Mili80, I think that the restrictions on your work permit are standard for all inland spousal OWPs. My husband’s restrictions are as follows: 1. Not authorized to work in childcare, primary/secondary school teaching, health service field occupations. 2. Unless authorized, prohibited from...

I’m not sure that being granted an OWP and taking the medical are even connected. My husband received his MR on Jan 17th, underwent his medical on Jan 21st and the file hasn’t yet been changed to “passed” as he was required to take some additional tests and the doctor hasn’t uploaded them yet...

That’s great news! It seems that they always give the “official” processing dates as the last applications that they are working on from a particular date, rather than the first.

Apparently, CIC is currently processing work permits received on Oct 17th, as of today. Someone on the Oct 2017 Inland thread posted how to check where the queue is at, in terms of processing. You call the CIC number (1-888-242-2100), then select options 1-1-1-3. You need your OWP application...

You maybe you should call the dr office and ask them. I imagine that she’d submit all test results and not hold back on submitting 2nd set. Because if cic has further questions, it might require a specialist and not this same dr. However, unless it’s a medical issue that puts public at risk...

My husband received his MR on Jan 17. He did the medical with xrays and blood/urine tests at that time. We were told it would take a few days for the results from blood tests. When the My CIC file wasn’t updated after a few weeks, we called the dr office and was told that he didn’t send in the...
