It came! And what a spectacular piece of art the PR Card is. It has the photo, as well as a miniature photo in a clear square, and my husband’s name appears a second time as a little swirly image. We took celebratory pictures of the big moment at the mail box.
Now that the wait is over, it’s...
Every time that we sent a web form inquiry, we had movement with my husband’s file within days. Every time. It might work for you, and even if it doesn’t, it won’t slow the process down any further than its current rate.
* Also, phoning In with an inquiry seems to have no impact. The standard...
My husband’s GCKey account was updated today, with news that his PR card has been mailed out and will arrive within 6 weeks. I remember others on this forum reporting that they got their cards within a week. Can I ask~ did they come by regular mail, express post or courier? Did the PR card just...
My husband landed on July 25/19 and we are still waiting for his PR Card. When we called CIC today to inquire, the agent said that they are presently working on July 10th PR Card applications. So it sounds like we have two more weeks of waiting.
@barsarah! I’m thrilled that you are still around in the forum, so I have the chance to thank you for your guidance. Both you and @Geno.uss have been invaluable in getting though the process.
The helicopter ride was very exciting and only happened as there is a flash sale every evening where...
I have a rather spontaneous husband, so his proposal of a day away in downtown Vancouver sounded great. He wanted to be in charge of planning the day~ perhaps that should have aroused suspicion in me, but it didn’t...
Yesterday was our big day away. The first surprise of the day was when on the...
When you go into your GCKey account, go to the home page. Click on “Add link to your account” and scroll to Permanent Resident Card. Apparently, this will link right after the landing interview, when you are given CoPR.
You will be fine, I’m sure. CIC needs to do due diligence, and it sounds like you’ve sent in what they require. With all you sent, I can’t imagine that they would still have doubts. Looking forward to reading good news from you soon!
I thought it might be useful to post how you are notified about the different stages, as I’ve seen this question a few times. Here are the notifications in this process:
PR/OWP appl. received: (by your mail tracking)
PR appl. linked: (on GCKey)
AOR received: (letter to PA)
OWP appl. linked...
I would definitely call and ask what the status of your file is. You might get no info (as they are apparently processing Sept 2018 files), but it’s worth a try. Then you might consider ordering GCMS notes. We did this three times since our application was received Nov 13/18, and it seemed to us...
Yahoo!!! Congratulations, @umarr.cole! Just like that, the long application endurance test finally comes to an end and your journey as Canada’s newest PR begins! Best of luck in all the adventures that lie ahead for you and your spouse. And thank you for creating this thread ~ it’s been my...
Best of luck! Remember to take his ID. And they can call him, if they need to talk to him. CIC agents are human, and understand that extenuating circumstances happens at times. High anxiety is a fact of life for some, and accommodations should be made for it. If the agent has an issue, you could...
Is the anxiety issue around the the ferry? I realize that the interview is tomorrow ~ how about a doctor’s note explaining the situation or alternately a seaplane?
