    same employer new job: permit

thanks, I am LMO exempt. How do I go about applying for the new work permit? Can I get it at the border? What if the new boss needs me urgently?

    same employer new job: permit

Hello, I am in Quebec on a closed work permit, currently working for a company doing job A. What if the same company offers me job B (different position and roles entirely), how do I go about the work permit? I know I cannot use my current work permit because it is a different job even if it is...

PNP File Transfer To CIO Sydney, Nova Scotia - December/ January

Where do you see that June and July applicants are getting PPRs? Is it for 2012? Which visa office? Many visa offices outside Canada are much quicker...

BUFFALO APPLICANTS - File transferred to other VO due to Buffalo closing down

Well, my file went directly to CPP Ottawa and its been 10.6 months - no nothing yet. It should only have taken 9 months for us QSW applicants.

Jan 2012 PNP>Federal to Nova Scotias and still waiting after 11 months??

I'm a QSW applicant and it's supposed to be only 9 months for us... I've well exceeded this (10.6 months already), and each additional day that passes by is a wicked thorn that keeps poking through my sanity.

PNP File Transfer To CIO Sydney, Nova Scotia - December/ January

What about the due date on our GCMS notes? Isn't that supposed to indicate when we must get our PPR by?

BUFFALO APPLICANTS - File transferred to other VO due to Buffalo closing down

Absolutely. I often feel as if they're playing with our lives, and though they may know it, they really don't care.

PNP File Transfer To CIO Sydney, Nova Scotia - December/ January

Amen. Especially if the rest of your life depends on the PR -- like not being able to leave your present job (and thus denying thyself of better opportunities in life) because your PR is tied to it.

CIO AT OTTAWA PROCESS TIME FOR PROVINCIAL NOMINEES

I'm a CPP-Ottawa applicant, under the Quebec-selected worker category. Ours should be shorter (9 months), but I still haven't got my PPR yet, and it's been about 10.5 months now.

You should receive it by email within a month from when you requested it

PNP File Transfer To CIO Sydney, Nova Scotia - December/ January

I truly understand your frustration... I'm a QSW applicant and according to the processing times on the CIC website, it's an average of 9 months for us. At the end of January my application it will have been 11 months already. I'm positive that the journey will soon be over for us because they...

BUFFALO APPLICANTS - File transferred to other VO due to Buffalo closing down

OMG seriously?!?!? While here we are, unable to go on with our lives because of this stupid PPR wait. That is incredibly unfair!

BUFFALO APPLICANTS - File transferred to other VO due to Buffalo closing down

This is great news... Thank you... But I'm not sure if it applies to me because when I got my CSQ, I submitted it with a "validation d'emploi permanent", which is a permanent job offer validated by Quebec MICC (and I got 6 points for my CSQ because of this). And when I signed that sheet, I...

BUFFALO APPLICANTS - File transferred to other VO due to Buffalo closing down

I have the same question... Did you receive points for having a permanent job offer in Quebec? Because I think if this is the case, then it might affect the PR. My life really is screwed right now because my PR is tied to my current job, which makes me crazier every single day. There are so...
