Dumb electoral fine referred a fine to traffic history

Haha, hey! I was out of the country! =P Plus I firmly believe that some people simply shouldn't have that power... Look at the leaders of my country as it is, I'd rather not have to vote when I don't understand the parliament and leave it to those that do! Voting not being mandatory in Canada is...

Dumb electoral fine referred a fine to traffic history

Thanks, I hope you're right! I'm sure you are, has anyone heard of anyone being rejected because they didn't vote in a country they weren't a resident of for over 2 years at the time? I would start questioning the system if they did! I requested a letter from SPER (I don't know what that stands...

Dumb electoral fine referred a fine to traffic history

Just to make everyone feel a bit better about their own processes. So my friend just got my QLD traffic history and there's a SPER referred fine for not voting last year... I'VE LIVED IN CANADA FOR 3 BLOODY YEARS!!! Of course I wasn't there to vote! Obvious mistake but my CIC deadline for these...

Eligibility to work as a permanent resident

So out of curiosity but still in the same topic, I have been in Canada for 3 years on a WHP and already have my SIN. Once I get PR this will obviously change so I will be able to work the whole time then just need to go see Service Canada and get them to give me a new one right? 'Visitors' get a...

Is requesting GCMS notes every month too often?

Silly question (I've only just got through stage 1) but how does one order these notes?

That's true, I've had far more communications from CIC than I thought I would. I'm just happy everything is sorting itself out and my case officer seems nice, even apologized.

So after 10 bloody days of fretting and panicking I received this email some time late last night (I wake up at 1:45am as I'm a baker and it was in my inbox when I woke) Good day, Thank you for your email. I have reviewed the police certificate and we are able to accept the Complete...

DECEMBER 2013 OUTLAND APPLICANTS – Join Here!!!

That's a good perspective. What's happening is I'm sending all my paperwork to the bestie in Aus. She is going to take my stuff to QLD Transport for the traffic history and she's going to attach a money order and send off AFP for police clearance. Both postal addresses are hers so when she has...

I know, I watch the Sydney thread, quite a lot get processed between 3-7 months. My file is currently paused until they receive requested files though. I sent the applications a week ago today and no word of arrival. It makes me anxious as they only gave me a month to get 2 files from Aus to Can...

We got first AOR Dec 28, SA 10 days later and AOR from Sydney 6 days after that. It was only 6 days from there before I received the doc request too so it's all pretty fast in the beginning... After the arduous wait for the initial AOR that is.

If I need to contact CIC Sydney?

Awesome thank you! Yes, they emailed me, I did shoot something back with my UCI and file # in the headers and never got anything back so I'm worried that if I really do need an extension they will just ignore my email then what if my certs arrive just a day late? All because I can't get a hold...

If I need to contact CIC Sydney?

Hi, I'm hoping a package arrives in Australian on Monday which will give me just over 3 weeks for the certificates to process. Just incase I need to inquire or try to extend the deadline, does anyone know how I'm supposed to go about it? Is it just Sydney.immigration @international.gc.ca?

    Aussies- QLD traffic history

I'm from Brisbane, but North Queensland originally. Every time I've had to get AFP or QLD Transport involved I've had to get a friend in Aus to help me because of the money order. I can get a Canadian one and just get it made out in AUD? That would make life so much easier.

    Aussies- QLD traffic history

Thanks for the advice, it panned out well. It looks like you're a few months ahead of me, I hope it's all going well. So my friend was able to call QLD Transport and if ID is expired they will accept my Canadian equivalent, as long as everything is certified true copy. And no problem sending it...

Alllllrighty then. I sent off my applications for the documents CIC requested. I am so lucky to have some great friends back in Aus who can help so that this whole hiccup will be over faster. Back to waiting I guess.

    Aussies- QLD traffic history

I was wondering if that is an option? It asks for a residential address and a postal address. Can I put my Canadian address as as residential and my friend's Australian address without being questioned? I do have a friend that is helping me, as last time I had to get these for WHP AFP couldn't...

    Aussies- QLD traffic history

Does ANYONE have advice? Most Aussies are asleep now. I read that if I am unable to attain a traffic check I need to go get a stat dec stating that, so the CIC should accept that. I have no valid Category B documents as I've been here for so long. I have always been legal in Canada, last year...
