I crossed border once without carrying my workpermit. CBSA is chill and asked me not to "forget" my work permit again. And yes you can travel to States, while waiting for your PR Card. You cannot board commercial vehicles.

Got my ecas access. 17 July- ITA 17 Aug- file submitted and aor 20 Aug- medical passed and background check in progress 20 Aug- Ecas access. 3 lines. 1. We've received your application on 17 Aug. 2. We've sent you aor on 17 Aug 3. We've started processing your file on 19 Aug.

I actually took my exam on 27 July. But, I was called for another test which I took on Aug 14. My immigration doc submitted my test on 19 Aug.

Your medical physician may ask you togive the test one more time. Dont' take that medicine until that period and drink lots of water before the test.
