When she checks her luggage in at the airport, tell her to check the tag. If it says YYZ, then it likely will go all the way to Pearson. She could also ask when she checks in for the flight. I have had it both ways where I have had to pick up my luggage, and another where the luggage went...

The notes have already been ordered. Just waiting on them. I want to contact them, but they don't reply to any inquiries that are within the normal time...so I need to wait until May. As far as the MP goes, would it not be the same...that I should wait until the year has passed?

I know exactly how you feel. I have not seen my wife since February 2016 for this exact same reason. Now I will go in June to visit...but hoping she gets approved before I go there. I worry she will get approved right after I return home.

It doesn't seem fair to me that the immigration keeps families separated for such a long time. So frustrating!
