Mine took about 3 weeks to verify & reach “decision made” status. They were confirming travel between the US & Canada because the border agents don’t always stamp the passports when crossing any more. Hope that helps!!

It will stay that way until oath ceremony.

Seems a little crazy, doesn’t it? Especially when I’m willing to drive (4 hours each way) rather than having to wait a total of 18 months instead.

I live on PEI.....I have been waiting since early September for invite. They had 2 oath ceremonies in late October (but I did not receive an invite to either). Apparently they don’t do any more oath ceremonies on PEI until May timeframe. I offered to drive to Nova Scotia or New Brunswick, but...

Hoping everyone gets test/oath ceremony invites soon!! I just found out today (even though I have been awaiting oath ceremony invite since early September), that it will most likely be May before I get my invite:(

Well....after waiting & waiting & waiting, they finally announced a citizenship ceremony for Charlottetown, PEI this Thursday. Unfortunately...no invite:( & they say the next one will probably not be until Aprilo_O

Is that an expedited processing time?

Any idea how much notice they usually provide for an invite to an oath ceremony? There has been a ceremony listed for Charlottetown (PEI) in the “temporary ceremony” section between Oct. 21-25 for several weeks, but no date has been selected & no invite yet.....;)

Is there anyone waiting on a oath ceremony invite in PEI/Halifax area? I haven’t seen any ceremonies for awhile (nothing in PEI).....just curious how often they are scheduled? Thanks!!:)

I called IRCC on Friday to ask the same question. They told me that my son’s application was fine & probably would not change status until after I receive an invitation to an oath ceremony (at which point in time he would receive one also). Hope that helps!!:)

Two quick questions as my status just got updated to “decision made”..... 1.) Does this mean “decision made” - approved? It really doesn’t specify 2.) My son’s status has not been updated to “decision made”....how long does that usually take after mine has been updated? Thank you:)

My wife and son came with me, but there wasn’t enough room in the waiting room (Charlottetown office is very small), so they waited nearby.

They did not check anything for my son at the test. The officer said if they needed to verify any of his documents, they would do it just before the oath ceremony.
